Event Start Date: 8/3/2017

Event End Date: 8/12/2017

Overview:

The CME begins at 8:45AM on Thursday, August 3 with the three-hour (9.0 Mainpro+ credit) Ten-Minute CBT workshop. That component will be held at the top-notch Sheraton Miyako in Tokyo (details). The next morning (Friday, August 4) we'll all board our private shuttle to the Diamond Princess waiting for us in Tokyo's port of Yokohama.

The shipboard CME is the acclaimed "triple strength" CBT for Depression module (12.0 hours / 36.0 credits). General interest topics covered include procrastination, perfectionism, rumination, self-criticism, self-handicapping, letting go of the past, decision-making, and evidence-based marital enrichment (e.g., exploring Japan together!). Join us and you'll gain a plethora of ultra-brief techniques to help your patients defeat depression and be happy.

Head instructor Greg Dubord, MD is nice & limber from giving over 300 CBT workshops, and is a University of Toronto CME Teacher of the Year. Assistant faculty includes Angie Hong, MD who will be presenting on CBT for obesity, with a focus on the management of cravings & urges.

Accreditation. This land-and-sea CME adventure is accredited for 45.0 Mainpro+ credits by the College of Family Physicians of Canada*.

*American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) members are eligible to receive up to 45.0 Prescribed credit hours for attendance at CBT Canada’s 15.0 hour (/45.0 Mainpro+ credit) workshops due to a reciprocal agreement with the College of Family Physicians (AAFP, 2016).
