The Effective Team Interactions course will enable more effective and safer interactions between healthcare colleagues, through enhanced communications strategies and skills.
This program is for:
Physicians, Residents and Healthcare Professionals
•Describe the roles, competencies, and expertise of all team members with whom they work in achieving successful patient care outcomes and explain how these attributes increase the reliability of healthcare delivery
•Identify strategies to overcome barriers to safe and reliable teamwork
•Name factors that support effective team interactions in healthcare
•Demonstrate effective use of a structured communication tool to accurately, clearly, and efficiently share information within a healthcare team using simulated scenarios
•Using simulated scenarios, formulate a patient-centered, team-oriented communication approach to: ◦Raising concerns about the performance of another team member in delivering safe and reliable healthcare
◦Responding to concerns about performance raised by other team members about the safety and reliability of healthcare delivery.
