The General Practice Service Committee (GPSC) launched a Practice Support Program (PSP) in BC to provide support and training to physicians and their staff on their journey towards the Patient Medical Home (PMH) model, in the drive to achieve an integrated system to quality primary healthcare.
The PSP ensures physicians have access to the resources and training they need through Practice Coaching and various other training and quality improvement tools and resources. Coaches meet with physicians and their staff to support the identification, implementation and sustaining of changes to improving clinical and practice management in the goal of enhances delivery of patient care.

Practice Coaches receive Quality Improvement training which is tailored for physician practice in BC through The Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice, Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) Open School or Northern Health’s Intermediate Quality Improvement (+ Green Belt) Training.
