DR. GUY PATERSON has stepped down from his role as Medical Lead, NH Surgical Services Program. Dr. Paterson has held this position since October 1, 2016.
Dr. Paterson is an Urologist at the University Hospital of Northern BC (UHNBC) and is continuing as the Head of the Department of Surgery at University Hospital at Northern BC for a second term.
The interview process to identify a replacement for Dr. Paterson as Medical Lead have been completed. Dr. James Dunfield is the successful candidate and has been appointed as Medical Lead for the Surgical Services program effective March 1, 2018. A separate announcement will be circulated soon.
Please join me in extending our thanks to Dr. Guy Paterson for his work in the role of Medical Lead and wish him the best as he continues as Department Head at UHNBC. His dedicated services as Medical Lead Surgical Services was greatly appreciated. We hope to have his continued physician leadership with Northern Health in another capacity.
