Staff rules
The Northern Health medical staff rules are mandated by the bylaws and serve to ensure medical staff structure and practices are reflective of the organization and meet expected standards of care. Rules apply equally to all members of the medical staff and are approved by the Northern Health board.
Bylaws
The Northern Health medical staff bylaws describe the relationship and responsibilities between the Northern Health board and the medical staff organization and its members. The bylaws are regulated by the Hospital Act and the Health Authorities Act and are approved by the Minister of Health. Visit the British Columbia BC Laws website to read the Hospital Act and Regulations.
