Extended outpatient aphasia clinic in Prince George


Do you have a patient with aphasia? It is a communication impairment due to stroke or brain injury. Aphasia impacts identity and relationships because of difficulties speaking, understanding words, reading and writing.

They can be referred to UBC – SNAP (Student Northern Aphasia Project) at UHNBC.

  • Speech Language Pathology (SLP) students will run aphasia therapy groups
  • Open to any adult with aphasia who lives in the Prince George area
  • Will run Tuesday and Thursdays (in either a morning or afternoon group) from June 11 to July 18, 2019 at UHNBC
  • Information night will be available for families to learn communication strategies

You can refer patients with aphasia to UBC – SNAP with the attached referral form.
