An update has been released regarding naloxone practice support.
Two important changes:
- By order of the Minister of Health, naloxone may now be administered, without an order, for persons on hospital property who are not inpatients, and for inpatients who are not all the time in an inpatient area of a hospital.
- LPNs may now dispense Take Home Naloxone Kits outside of a hospital setting.
