The Issue: As supply of the LifeShield™ (Pfizer) calcium chloride 100 mg/mL (10%) X 10 mL pre-filled syringes (PFS) continues to deplete, NH Pharmacy has started to bring in the alternate product from SteriMax to ensure continued access in NH. Of note, the SteriMax product comes with an elastomeric tip cap that the company has stated may contain natural rubber latex. SteriMax is currently doing additional testing to confirm whether or not any latex is present.
