Gregory Marr has accepted the position of Regional Director, Medical Affairs, effective August 28, 2017.
Gregory earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and Psychology with an Honours in Neuroscience from the University of Victoria and a Master of Health Administration from the University of British Columbia. He is also a Certified Health Executive (CHE) with the Canadian College of Health Leaders.
Gregory has 12 years of progressive leadership and accountability working in health care in the private sector, Ministry of Health and Health Authorities. He currently holds the position of Manager, Long-term Care, Assisted Living and Short Stay Programs with Northern Health.
In his new role, Gregory provides leadership in the successful planning and implementation of medical affairs initiatives related to the ongoing restructuring, reconfiguration and delivery of physician services. Working within the framework and directions for NH’s Strategic Plan, and in support of the organization’s vision, mission statement and values, the Regional Director, Medical Affairs is accountable for the development and implementation of strategic medical staff plans and processes and the professional growth and development of the Medical Affairs support staff.
