There is a drug form discontinuation of erythromycin suspension - all salts, all strengths.
Recently, erythromycin estolate suspension, both strengths, has been discontinued. There are no longer any erythromycin suspension products, of any salt/strength, available on the Canadian market.
Possible alternatives:
- other macrolide suspensions: azithromycin, clarithromycin
- for other antimicrobial suspension alternates available on the NH hospital formulary, refer to the OurNH formulary site (to view you must be on a Northern Health network or log in using your NH username and password)
