New Outpatient Aphasia Clinic in Prince George
Do you have a patient with aphasia?
A communication impairment due to stroke or brain injury that impacts identity and relationships because of difficulties speaking, understanding, reading and writing.
They can be referred to UBC – SNAP (Student Northern Aphasia Project) at UHNBC.
UBC SNAP can support patients in the following ways:
- Speech Language Pathology (SLP) students will run aphasia therapy groups
- Open to any adult with aphasia who lives in the Prince George area
- Will run Tuesday and Thursdays (in either a morning or afternoon group) from April 24 – July 19, 2018
- Information nights will be available for families to learn communication strategies
You can refer patients with aphasia to UBC – SNAP with the UBC Student Northern Aphasia Project (SNAP) referral form (also available in MOIS and at DocumentSource)
