Registration is now open for the 2018 Northern BC Research and Quality Conference November 6-8 in Prince George. It is hosted in partnership between Northern Health, the University of Northern British Columbia, Physician Quality Improvement and BC Cancer.
The conference theme for 2018 is Engaging Partners in Health Care Improvement.

The conference is open to researchers, students, health authority employees, health care practitioners, patient partners, and community organizations. The conference is CME accredited for physicians and they will receive credits for attending all or part of the conference. Northern Health Physicians that are attending the conference will receive reimbursement for registration, travel, and sessional payments; for more details contact physicianqi@northernhealth.ca.
We are excited to have Dr. Shimi Kang as our keynote speaker on November 7th. Dr. Kang is an award-winning Harvard-trained medical doctor, researcher, and expert on the science of innovation, leadership and wellness. She provides science based tools for health, happiness, and achievement in the workplace, classroom, and at home.
On November 8th Dr. Francisco Ibañez-Carrasco will deliver a plenary talk. Dr. Ibañez-Carrasco’s mission is to inspire and connect. He is a Senior Research Associate at the Centre for Urban Health Solutions, St Michael’s Hospital, and currently leads the CIHR funded HIV Stigma Index in Canada. He has lived with HIV since 1986 and has worked in the HIV movement since 1989.
