Participants are needed for a UNBC-led study seeking to assess and improve how patients respond when they experience stroke symptoms. Participants must be over 18 and must have received care for a stroke in an emergency department in Northern BC within the last five years.
This study will explore the decision-making process of stroke survivors and their caregivers around deciding when to seek emergency help. This study will also look at why ambulance services were or were not used, and the impact this may have had on in-hospital care.
Volunteers will be interviewed in a semi-structured format. A flyer has been developed for you to post at your practice; you’re encouraged to pass this information on to any patients you believe would be interested.
If you have questions or would like more information, please contact Daman Kandola at kandola@unbc.ca.
