I am pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Kirsten Miller to the position of Medical Lead Child and Youth Health Program effective April 1, 2018. As Medical Lead for the Child and Youth Health Program, Dr. Miller will be reporting to the Vice President Medicine and will be working in a coleadership role with the Northern Health Executive Lead Child and Youth Health Program, Jennifer Begg.
The Medical and Executive Leads will work collaboratively with other physician leaders, professional staff and other Health Authority Staff to provide leadership and support for the development of the Child and Youth Health Program within Northern Health.
Dr. Miller obtained her medical degree at the University of Ottawa and completed her Pediatric Residency at the University of British Columbia. She is a consulting Pediatrician in Prince George and works as a Pediatrician at the Northern Health SCAN Clinic. Her previous leadership roles include: Medical Lead, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at UHNBC, and Executive Member, British Columbia Pediatric Society. In her spare time, Dr. Miller enjoys biking, skiing and spending time with her family.
