Medical staff violence prevention training

Date

Northern Health and Doctors of BC are excited to partner and share this opportunity with all medical staff.

Improving occupational health and safety (OHS) for medical staff is a priority for both Northern Health and Doctors of BC. The Regional Physician Health and Safety Working Group (RPHSWG) has been consulted on health and safety priorities for medical staff and has developed a health and safety engagement survey.

The next step towards addressing the longstanding gap of OHS support for medical staff is to implement violence prevention training.

The 1.5-hour PVPC for medical staff e-learning module is an accredited self-assessment program defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program (MOC) of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and has been certified by UBC Continuing Professional Development (CPD) for up to 1.5 Mainpro+ assessment credits.
