BC prehospital and retrieval medicine conference 2026

Patients in rural, remote and Indigenous communities across BC face increased delays in accessing necessary care and experience measurably worse health outcomes. The time to address this challenge is now. Join the BC Prehospital and Retrieval Medicine 2026 Conference and be part of changing these outcomes for the better.

We aim to address rural health inequities by raising awareness of the importance of retrieval and transfer medicine. We also disseminate knowledge and promote discussion of ways to address gaps in prehospital and retrieval (transfer medicine) in British Columbia, particularly those living in rural and remote communities.

Program includes:

• Keynotes including Dr. Stephen Hearns, founder of Scotland’s Emergency Medicine Retrieval Service and a global thought leader in retrieval medicine
• Panel sessions - 20 min talks with 15 min Q&A (see below for details)
