Description/Learning objectives:
Part 1 - Building reliable systems: The leader’s role
Given a goal of fostering and promoting the safety of medical care, the participant will be able to:
Explain the two key elements of a framework for improvement
Describe the role of a leader in supporting a learning system and a culture of continuous improvement
Part 2 - Culture of accountability: Given a culture of accountability framework the participant will be able to:
Describe the 3 behaviours that threaten patient safety and appropriate management interventions
Name the elements of accountability at the system and provider levels
