Medical staff townhall: Recruitment and retention think tank update

Please join us virtually for a town hall for medical staff: Recruitment and retention think tank update.

In October of 2024, the Northern Health Think Tank on Medical Staff Recruitment and Retention took place. This was an event that included a survey and an in-person meeting in Vancouver, BC. The event was facilitated by the Rural Coordination Centre of BC and included participation from Northern Health leadership, Doctors of BC, medical staff, and representatives of the communities and local governments. 

The goals for the Northern Health Think Tank 2024 event were to:

1. Explore potential solutions to address medical professionals’ retention and recruitment.
2. Identify and prioritize action items to improve medical professionals’ retention and recruitment in Northern BC.

The purpose of this townhall is to further communicate the results of the event and provide an update on actions in-progress. There will be a brief presentation at the beginning and then most of the time will be dedicated to questions and answers.
