Do you find that some of these patients lack motivation to care for their own health care needs? Do medical appointments with these patients sometimes leave you feeling frustrated? Attend this afternoon workshop to learn about how you can incorporate Motivational Interviewing into your practice. Motivational Interviewing is a goal-directed, client centred counselling style that aims to elicit behaviour change by helping clients explore and resolve their ambivalence. This session will provide you with clinical tools to facilitate the development of motivation for medical self-care and management in this challenging population. Speakers: Dr. Penny Sneddon (BC Children's Hospital) and  Dr. Holly Ambrose (Northern Health Authority) RSVP: Physician.education@northernhealth.ca Disclaimer: The CME Event Calendar contains information originating from other sources.
