Learning objectives - Haley Reich: Child and Youth Mental Health:

• Utilize support through CYMHSU Regional Support Team. 
• Review Clinical Practice Standard documents to support caring for children and youth presenting to ER with MHSU concerns. 
• Identify psychiatric admission requirements for child and youth presenting to ER with MHSU concerns. 
• Utilize Inpatient Child and Adolescent Pediatric Psychiatric Admission Orders for clinical application. 
• Identify after hours phone call support options for CYMHSU care.

Learning objectives - Gerrit Clements: Mental Health Act:

• Apply knowledge of the Mental Health Act (MHA) to complete Forms 4.1 and 4.2 as well as existing Forms 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 13, 15, and 16. 
• Review Extended Leave process. 
• Interpret and apply provisions of the Mental Health Act.
• Review and distinguish the jurisdictions of the Mental Health Review Board panels and the College of Physicians and Surgeons/Health Professions Review Board, and the roles of the new Patients Rights Advisory Service. 
• Anticipate the direction recent and upcoming court cases may take the interpretation of the MHA, possibly followed by legislative amendments.
