TUFH workshop - Engaging methods for teaching health policy

Using health policy to improve health outcomes, participants will learn to evaluate the role of health policy in addressing a population health issue of importance to their community. Participants will be supported to develop a health policy brief and brainstorm health policy solutions to their own local health priorities. Finally, participants will be introduced to a clinical case used to inspire students to consider policy implications when delivering care. Presenters will give an overview of the curriculum, demonstrate teaching methods used and describe the challenges and lessons learned so others can successfully adapt to their own curriculum.
