To describe the rationale and process of developing this innovative BC Point of Care Clinical Pathway for Child and Youth Eating Disorders
To describe the evolving relevance of “Pathways BC” for specialist physicians, and to develop comfort in using it to integrate the newly launched “POC Eating Disorders Clinical Care Pathway” within current provider workflows
To summarize core concepts supporting the provision of inclusive, high-quality eating disorders care in areas of:
Early identification / Acuity Assessment
Health Equity, diversity and inclusion
Language and Communication
Navigating transition age care
To describe resources (both newly developed and existing) aimed at:
Improving information flow within healthcare teams (PCP, specialist, ER, allied health)
Connecting patients and carers to current, practical resources
Enhancing provider knowledge of basic, emergency department, and beyond the basics eating disorders care
Supporting efficient systems navigation and referral processes
