The Northern Health Palliative Care Consultation Team, in partnership with the BC Centre for Palliative Care, is providing an online and virtual education session for clinicians on the Serious Illness Conversation Guide. This is a two-part Serious Illness Conversation education session consisting of a 1.5 hour online module through the Learning Hub and a 2 hour virtual facilitated workshop.

Review the rationale for a systematic approach to improving conversations about patient values and priorities in serious illness
Review the structure of the Serious Illness Care intervention and its components
Practice using a structured, person-centred approach to goals-of-care conversations

CME: This event is an Accredited Group Learning Activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification program of The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and approved for up to 2.0 MOC credits. This Group Learning program has been certified by the College of Family Physicians of Canada for up to 2.0 Mainpro+ credits.
