CASTED Emergency is coming to the Northeast this fall in Dawson Creek! This high-yield, practice-changing, award-winning ED orthopedics course is 3-days. 2-days of online, live (synchronous) teaching reviews almost 200 cases. These highlight ED orthopedic principles, clinical pearls and the spectrum of injury for a variety of diagnoses. Included are pre-course case reviews, course manual, online case management with lots of time for questions.
Then, on Saturday, October 28, a 3rd day of hands-on practice in Dawson Creek - where the in-person demonstrations provide numerous tips on splinting, molding and reductions. ED-focused physical exam reviews are also detailed. Plus, a review of the 1st two course days. This 'spaced repetition' is key to reminding you of the key points and helping you change your practice.
Registration fees for Physicians residing in the following communities will be reimbursed post course (Dawson Creek/Fort St. John/Hudson’s Hope/Tumbler Ridge/Chetwynd) from the RCME Community funds. You must attend all three days and provide your receipt for reimbursement. Please reach out to Jayleen.emery@northernhealth.ca with any questions about funding.
