Title: Mental Health Injuries with WorkSafe BC and Disability Forms Completion

This is the first in a series of Leaning events put on by The PG Division of Family Practice to support better incorporation of the social determinates of health into Family Practice.
Part 1: Mental Health Injuries with WorkSafe BC – Presented by Dr Tanya Fairweather, Medical Advisor for Worksafe BC
Objectives:
1. Recognize the unique features of a mental health claim, including how legislation affects system decisions
2. Identify the mental health team at WorkSafeBC and how they manage mental health injuries
3. Describe traumatic events, significant stressors and bullying and harassment as they relate to the workplace
Part 2: Will focus on the completion of disability forms, particularly how to work in collaboration with your interprofessional team to get forms completed.
