Why attend: To achieve better care and health outcomes!  Healthcare quality is concrete and measurable, much like the vital signs of a patient. The science of quality improvement has been adapted successfully from industry to healthcare over the past two decades and includes many useful tools and methods for improving efficiency, safety, and clinical outcomes. It’s accredited! Physicians are eligible for 2.5 Mainpro + and MOC Section 1 credits and reimbursement for your time to attend and travel. (Please note only practicing physicians are reimbursed for their time). What does the workshop cover: The workshop is 2.5 hours and by the end participants will be able to: Describe the Model for Improvement Identify the use and need for data in quality improvement Perform and measure changes within a Plan do Study Act (PDSA) cycle Plan the first steps for initiating a quality improvement project Identify supports that are available to help with quality improvement work Identify the physician’s role in quality improvement within the team and within the health care sector RSVP: physicianqi@northernhealth.ca with the date and your food allergies (if any).
