Join us virtually for Northern Education Rounds: CKD in primary care.

Physicians will be paid one hour sessional from a grant received from the Rural Education Action Plan (REAP) Program.

• Dr. Vanessa Wheeler

Learning objectives:

• Identify and evaluate patients with CKD.
• Apply a risk stratification assessment to patients with CKD to help determine the urgency and need for nephrology consultation.
• Initiate treatment strategies in early CKD that are required to reduce the risk of CKD progression including dietary adjustments, RAAS inhibitors, SGLT2 inhibitors, MRAs and GLP-1 receptor agonists.
• Manage certain complications associated with CKD.
