Northern Education Rounds: CKD in primary care
Join us virtually for Northern Education Rounds: CKD in primary care.Physicians will be paid one hour sessional from a grant received from the Rural Education Action Plan (REAP) Program. Speaker:Dr. Vanessa WheelerLearning objectives:Identify and evaluate patients with CKD.Apply a risk stratification assessment to patients with CKD to help determine the urgency and need for nephrology consultation.Initiate treatment strategies in early CKD that are required to reduce the risk of CKD progression including dietary adjustments, RAAS inhibitors, SGLT2 inhibitors, MRAs and GLP-1 receptor agonists.Manage certain complications associated with CKD.How to join:Register in advance for this meeting: Northern Education Rounds Registration.
