Who is it for: Northern physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Northern Medical Program faculty and Northern medical students.
Why attend: To achieve better care and health outcomes! Healthcare quality is concrete and measurable, much like the vital signs of a patient. The science of quality improvement has been adapted successfully from industry to healthcare over the past two decades and includes many useful tools and methods for improving efficiency, safety, and clinical outcomes.
It’s accredited! Physicians are eligible for 1 Mainpro + and MOC Section 1 credits and reimbursement for your time to attend and travel. (Please note only practicing physicians are reimbursed for their time).
What does the workshop cover: By the end of the workshop participants will be able to:
Identify the purpose of mapping in quality improvement
Facilitate a process mapping session
Interpret the information from a process map to identify quality improvement opportunities
