Participants are recommended to have previously completed at least one PALS or APLS course successfully. Learning objectives: Assess and manage critically ill children during the first hours in the emergency department Review simulation team-based crisis resource management principles and take part in high fidelity simulation-based pediatric resuscitation scenarios and skills stations Discuss some core content objectives presented in didactic style Discuss topics including initial assessment, PALS life support, airway emergencies, respiratory failure, shock, maltreatment, ER radiology, surgical emergencies, trauma, transport, and toxicological and metabolic emergencies How to join: Registration required https://events.eply.com/aplsoct29smh  Agenda and more information CME: This event is an Accredited Group Learning Activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification program of The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and approved for up to 16.0 MOC credits.
