• Discuss the role of the primary care provider in supporting access to gender-affirming surgery
• Be aware of the WPATH criteria for upper surgery, gonadectomy and genital reconstruction
• Review which surgeries are covered by MSP and pathways to surgery for each funded procedure 
• Describe common gender-affirming procedures including techniques, potential benefits and risks, common complications, aftercare considerations
• Identify where to seek out additional clinical support and resources
