The mononucleosis test currently used in Northern Health laboratories is in short supply again and the vendor will not be able to fill orders until the middle of November.

Calcitriol 1 mcg/mL injection (ampoule) is on back order from the sole vendor in Canada (Sterimax). NH has a remaining supply of approximately 4 weeks based on historical use. If the back ordered supply shipment is delayed, NH could be at risk of stocking out of this product.
The sole source provider for the Special Access Programme (SAP) medication etomidate 2 mg/mL X 10 mL vials, has indicated that they are unable to supply for the remainder of 2019.
Both manufacturers of oxytocin 10 units/mL X 1 mL vials are now indicating shortages. Based on historic use, NH currently has 4 to 6 weeks of inventory of 1 mL stock.
