Starting December 16, 2019, all Canadian hospitals are legally required to report adverse drug reactions (ADRs) and medical device incidents (MDIs) to Health Canada within 30 days of the event being documented in the hospital.
As previously communicated, all oral ranitidine products in Canada have been recalled due to the presence of an impurity, NDMA.
The shortage of capsaicin 0.025% cream X 60 gram tubes is now resolved.

Calcitriol 1 mcg/mL injection remains on back order from the sole vendor in Canada. NH has a remaining supply of approximately 1 week based on historical use and will likely stock out before more supply is available.
Cyclopentolate 1% minims are on backorder from the single source vendor. Supply is already limited in NH and there is a risk of stocking out before more product becomes available. The cyclopentolate 1% eye drops X 15 mL bottle remain available at this time.
