The Issue: Due to ongoing supply issues with clindamycin vials (both the Sandoz preservative-free vials and Pfizer vials WITH preservative), NH pharmacy has brought in two ready-to-use products which will likely become routinely stocked going forward:

The Issue: Clindamycin 150 mg/mL preservative-free vials (2 mL, 4 mL, and 6 mL) are on backorder from Sandoz, the only manufacturer in Canada. In addition to this, the majority of the preservative-free supply of clindamycin 150 mg/mL in NH will have expired as of June 30, 2021.

Resolution: Availability of injectable magnesium sulfate (200 mg/mL X 10 mL vials and 500 mg/mL X 10 mL vials) has improved and NH pharmacy has access to an adequate ongoing supply.
