Starting January 1, 2025, the University Hospital of Northern BC (UHNBC) will launch the Primary Care Inpatient Service (PCIS) to provide care for unassigned, unattached, and out-of-town patients.
The issue: Hydroxocobalamin 5g vials (Cyanokits®) are on shortage and although there is stock available across the region currently, it is difficult to obtain replacements if a kit is used.
Clinical use: Antidote; cyanide poisoning

The issue: Due to supply constraints and a batch expiry, availability of alteplase 100 mg vials will be limited from Hoffman la-Roche until at least February 2025. NH sites currently have stock on hand, but resupply quantities are unclear for the coming months.
