The issue: Baxter has issued a voluntary, precautionary recall for several of their pre-mixed drug products and IV fluids. This recall is due to a potential for the bags to leak at the connection site during spiking or dislodgement of the tube membrane when removing the spike.

The issue: All strengths of both hydrocortisone and methylprednisolone sodium succinate vials are on reduced monthly order allocation with varying resupply dates throughout the remainder of 2023.

The issue: The single source vendor of lidocaine 1% and 2% with EPINEPHrine 1:100,000 X 20 mL vials is on backorder. Several NH sites have low stock in pharmacies and wardstock areas, and alternate options will need to be used when supply is depleted.
