Antimicrobial Stewardship (AMS) 2024-2025 Annual Report now available

The NH Antimicrobial Stewardship (AMS) Program is pleased to announce that the 2024-2025 Annual Report is now available.

DST medical imaging initiated diagnostic requests (MIIDR)

Several medical imaging processes have been standardized regionally and were approved by Northern Health Medical Advisory Committee in February 2025.  They are documented in detail in the attached decision support tool.

Drug shortage resolution: Hydroxocobalamin 5 g vial (Cyanokit®)

Resolution: The shortage of hydroxocobalamin 5 g vials has now resolved and NH pharmacy is able to access sufficient supply. 

Drug shortage resolution: Adenosine 3 mg/mL X 2 mL pre-filled syringes

Resolution: The shortage of adenosine pre-filled syringes (PFS) has now resolved and NH pharmacy is able to access sufficient supply.
