The issue: The backorder for methotrimeprazine 25 mg/mL x 1 mL injectable from Sanofi-Aventis has been extended.
Resolution: Heparin 10,000 units/mL X 0.5 mL vials are now available in good supply and this drug shortage can be considered resolved.
The Issue: All strengths of both hydrocortisone and methylprednisolone sodium succinate vials are on shortage with varying resupply dates between the end of April and June 2022.
The Issue: methylPREDNISolone acetate 40 mg/mL long-acting (Depo-Medrol) vials (typically used for intra-articular injections) are currently on backorder from the sole source vendor in Canada.
The Issue: Nicotine 10 mg cartridges for inhalation and the required mouthpieces are currently on backorder from the sole source vendor in Canada. NH has approximately four to five weeks of stock in pharmacies and wardstock areas based on historic use.
